Clik Elite is a relatively new photography bag and backpack brand, developed for outdoor and adventure photographers. However, they draw on twenty-five years of experience in bag manufacture and relationships with pro photographers.

We took two of their bags, the Pro Express Backpack on recent trips to Taiwan, India and Australia. Both bags performed really well and kept our gear safe (even on bumpy, dusty roads in Northern India!).

The Impulse Sling is a contemporary over the shoulder bag with plenty of room for day trips. The Impulse Sling feels comfortable and there is an additional clip-in strap to stabilise the bag across your chest for longer walks. Typically we were able to pack an SLR with lens, spare lens, set of 4X6 filters (and filter holder), six-pack of circular filters, spare batteries, sunglasses, memory cards, phone, gloves, scarf without overloading the bag. Moreover, there is an external strap to attach a tripod.

The camera compartment in the Impulse Sling is well padded and can be adjusted to suit your body and lens requirements. Our only complaint was that things got a little tight when carrying a wide lens as the spare. But, overall, it is a great bag and we look forward to using it around Hong Kong in the future.

The Pro Express is a travel backpack that confirms to requirements for overhead storage on airlines. It is easy to configure the camera compartment to accommodate a wide range of gear. Our standard configuration let us carry a MacBook Pro, iPad, Sony Audio Recorder, 2 SLR bodies, 4 lenses, speed-light, pocket-wizards, filters, chargers, memory cards, notepad, pens and sunglasses all without overloading the bag.

Click Elite also has a range of lens pouches that can be securely clipped onto the bags. We tested the large and small accessory pouches and the medium lens pouch. In particular, the large accessory pouch became a favourite. It comfortably fits a smartphone and we enjoyed being able to swap it from the Sling to the Backpack depending on the situation.

We also have to point out that the bags still look great, even after a month of being carried through sweaty streets, dragged along dusty trails and lugged through several airports..

Click Elite are an exciting entrant in the camera bag market and they have a lot to offer adventure, travel and urban photographers looking for strong, comfortable bags. We highly recommend the Impulse Sling and Pro Express. You can find them at the Clik Elite Website (they ship internationally).
