Old Meets New: Mashup project blends the history of Toronto
In the scale of evolution 100 years passes with the blink of an eye. Apparently this is not the case when it comes to the evolution of a cityscape. Shops open and close, clothing items come in, leave and return again all the while, technology marches on.
The Toronto photo archives trudge on, capturing the city in a moment in time.
Toronto photographer Harry Enchin has mates the cityscapes of the early to mid 1900s with current images to create a fun and interesting look. Enchin’s show, Toronto Time, runs until October 26 at Akasha Art Projects on Church Street.
